Sisterhood

2010 Kappa Seniors

Kappa Kappa Gamma is a home away from home. Our sisterhood allows us to be individually unique but together complete. It shows us that the journey is far more important than the destination.

In the words of the Class of 2010, Kappa Kappa Gamma sisterhood is...

~ everlasting friendships,

~ taking one for the team,

~ letting a sister know just how amazing and inspirational you think she is,

~ comforting someone when you know they are having a rough day even if they say they are doing “fine”,

~ splitting the check all 3 ways

~ waking up at 4:30 in the morning to support a sister in her triathalon

~ finding out how close we really are after the best years of our lives

~ wandering around the library at midnight talking to all your sisters because they mean more to you than studying

~ ordering one of everything on the menu and not judging,

~ getting together for that forever dreamed about Vegas trip and just knowing you will have the time of your life,

~ entering Kappa as strangers and leaving as best friends, roommates, role models, coffee dates, and yoga partners,

~ laughing hysterically because you're so tired that everything seems funny,

~ traveling around Italy, eating pesto pizza and dancing till 4 am,

~ having a permanent support system that lasts beyond the walls of USD,

~ experiencing the good times together and helping each other through the rough patches,

~ living together, laughing together and learning to cherish every moment before it slips away,

Sisterhood is a family of women bound together by their support for one another. No matter if you have blood siblings or not- within the sisterhood of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the love of women uplifting each other for the greater good of our gender preserves all. There is no race, class, or other intersectionality within our bonds that can break the sustained devotion of over 300,000 women around the world who each day find the beautiful and the good and bring it to every part of their life.
